Life is hard sometimes, for anyone and everyone. I believe each person knows themselves best, and I enjoy assisting clients in better defining and clarifying this understanding. With this understanding, one can truly accept who they are, and this is vitally important to an effective and fulfilling life. I have worked with a variety of clients with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, intrusive thoughts, behavioral issues, divorce reaction, life transitions, self-esteem, among others. I pride my self on my eagerness and devotion to furthering my knowledge and experience, no matter the client or presenting problem.

I provide therapy/counseling services for individuals age 12 and older, couples, and families. I have over 9 years of experience providing clinical services to both adults and adolescents in residential, inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. I have experience treating eating disorders, anxiety, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, bipolar disorder, interpersonal/relationship issues, existential concerns/life transitions, as well as other concerns/issues.

I help my clients reconnect with themselves and get back on track to where they want to be, both emotionally and physically. I have experience working with clients who have struggled with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and sexuality. I focus on goals that my clients want to work towards. I remind them we work at their pace, and I'm here to guide them.

I am an Army Veteran and LCPC with a certification as a national certified counselor through the NBCC and have accumulated over 6 years of direct individual/group practice as a licensed counselor. Overall, my experience spans over 10 years working as a crisis, substance use, and mental health counselor in the field. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, and substance use. I also have assisted many clients who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

I believe that people need to be heard, and can find and articulate their own truth, their own path to health with compassion, empathy, and time-to tell their story, feel appreciated, to heal, and to change. I have worked to include spirituality, creativity, and the ability to accompany someone on their journey-so that our brief connections can have impact through the week, and through life. I value family input and involvement, social supports, and evidence-based methods, but more so I value my client's individual personal journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor.

I am currently welcoming new clients who are wishing to create and achieve goals while exploring his or her life's journey. Understanding and reprocessing traumatic experiences is a large part of the experience, and I believe that everyone has the potential to heal. Anger, sadness, joy, fear and so many other emotions add spice to our lives. I strive to help others master and accept the way emotions, thoughts, and behaviors impact our relationships. I am an anxiety and depression therapist. I love helping teens and adults work through life's challenges to come out the other side feeling stronger, more confident, and skillful in their relationship with themselves and others. My work as a therapist and an art therapist since 2014 has focused on supporting clients through life transitions, grief, identity concerns, coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reducing pain while increasing ability for coping. I have experiences working with individuals in individual and group therapy using talk therapy and also art therapy. My populations have included emerging adults and adults at other points in their lifespan. I very much enjoy supporting clients in navigating considerations around identity and racial/cultural experiences. I am strengths-based and goal focused.

I have had a variety of experiences working with people who have had different types of problems. I have worked with individuals having problems ranging from anxiety, depression, anger management, chronic habitual problems, compulsivity, bipolar, sexual addiction, sexual offending/deviant behaviors, and psychotic issues. The value of therapy is that clients can come in with issues and with work receive some results in the form of change. It is my job to help facilitate that process. I believe in helping people work out their problems and provide them with the skill sets to help them accomplish their goals.
