It can be challenging to want to make a change, invest in yourself, try to view your life without judgment, and having no idea where to start. Truth be told, you don't need to know where to start, just that you want something to be different. Your willingness to examine yourself is what you bring to sessions and my experience and skill is where I meet you in those sessions. My role is to challenge you when you’re stuck and keep you accountable, providing education and practical skills to use in daily life, and support you through the discomfort of change and vulnerability - and to celebrate the successes that follow.

I believe therapy is sacred work, and I approach each encounter with reverence. Transformation is possible through mindful presence, and the meditative practice of acceptance of reality as it is. There are many changes that occur when people are able to bring unconscious emotions into awareness, which does happen naturally, but is amplified during non-ordinary states of consciousness. When we deepen the awareness of how our mind operates-its patterns, tendencies, weak spots and vulnerabilities-we are able to connect with our deepest desires, and most creative expressions of who we are, and who we are capable of becoming.

I specialize in working with emerging adults and adults struggling with the symptoms of anxiety, life transitions, existential or spiritual concerns, relational issues and attachment, and self esteem. My goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, and authentic space in which you can share your story and begin the shift out of survival mode or autopilot into a more intentional and authentic life, embracing vulnerability so you can more deeply connect with your purpose and values.

I work with individuals and couples to identify and overcome barriers to happiness, healthy functioning, and life satisfaction. Problems and symptoms experienced by clients may be caused by current difficult situations/experiences, or by an accumulation of life hardships, or by a combination of both. Some clients might experience a general sense of unhappiness others might have specific symptoms, but either way, they may not really know why. Often, the link between the true problem/s and symptoms is not obvious and I help clients to gain insight into what may be happening and find effective ways of coping.
