After working for over 30 years with individuals across all stages of the life span, I have come to believe that we are all wired for health in our relationships with self and others. In keeping with this premise, I employ a collaborative therapeutic style marked by warmth, empathy and respect. My therapeutic approach draws heavily from attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, emotion focused therapy, somatic work and mindfulness. This integration combines current psychological knowledge and techniques with ancient wisdom in order to support clients as they move more fully into health.
Understanding the ways in which our early relationships and life experiences can impact our relational patterns in both adaptive and maladaptive ways enables me to help patients make sense of their histories and restore a sense of openness and well being with self and others.
