Hi I’m Evelyn Serna-Balderas. I am a licensed clinical social Worker who appreciates and is motivated in working with individuals to navigate through challenges and experience growth in their journey. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients ranging from children to older adults. I often engage clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, difficulty in life transitions, bipolar diagnosis, BPD, and dual diagnosis.
I work as a strategist and not solely as a theorist, in the sense that I will incorporate various modalities to fit what a client presents in each session. I utilize CBT, DBT, solution-focused, motivational interview, person-centered as well as psychotherapy approaches.
I see it as a privilege to be able to have people share their difficulties and struggles with me. I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations in various settings, but always strive to respect the needs that are presented. Being able to see growth and implementation of positive skills in people's lives continues to motivate me.
