I assist clients in developing a clinical understanding of their emotions/behaviors in the context of their relationships with others. Assisting clients to understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings and responses helps them gain control over themselves and their environment. When life happens, and we are in the midst of chaos, our brain gets stuck and begins to believe that there are no options available; but sometimes we need a push, an emotional support, or just someone to talk to, to help us un-knot the chaos in our mind.Life skills are essential problem-solving behaviors that we need to manage our lives properly.
I assist clients with life skills, anger management, depression, self-esteem, Domestic violence, Domestic violence awareness, and help parents learn healthy, disciplinary skills to improve parent-child relationship.
My role as a Marriage and Family Therapist is to create a relationship with my clients that is based on the three core conditions of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. I utilize research-backed methods to help clients toward self-discovery and self-awareness.
