I bring an eclectic, interactive approach to therapy. I see my role as the navigator while you define the destination. I work with couples, including LGBTQ, and individuals addressing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues, and gender health. I'm passionate about working with couples and individuals addressing life transitions, relationship discord, trauma, anxiety, and gender health. I'm trained in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, Trauma Resiliency, Gottman Method, and ACT. I draw from each of these approaches as they make sense in achieving your therapy goals.
I'm very interactive and engage you in establishing your own therapy goals. I often assign skills to practice and check in on progress each session. I find it useful when clients bring a list of topics they want to address, and I frequently ask what's helpful.
I've always been drawn to service and find purpose in helping others decrease suffering. The mind-body connection and social interaction have always made sense to me, and I've never wished I had chosen another path.
