Do you have trouble understanding and sitting with your emotions? Do you struggle with avoiding your feelings and thoughts? Maybe you feel tension and stress in your body which makes it hard to do tasks. These may be symptoms of anxiety or depression, but they may also be symptoms of unresolved trauma. I help people heal from trauma and the myriad of issues unresolved trauma may be at the root of. I find that my clients grow compassion for themselves, make sense of their past, and use new tools they learn in therapy in order to heal and grow.
I firmly believe that the client-counselor relationship is the key determinant of successful therapy outcomes. Therefore, I prioritize authenticity and empathy in my work, fostering a strong connection with my clients. Additionally, I integrate a mix of parts work, ACT, and EMDR into my work with clients.
