The thing I LOVE about my skills-based approach is that we all have an inherent ability to get better at things, yes, even our thought patterns and emotional reactions! It takes persistence and effort, but we can change!
I'm a pretty laid-back dude. You are much more likely to find me rocking a hoodie and sneakers as opposed to the traditional button-down and dress-shoes during sessions. To put it simply, my approach to therapy is to mix talk therapy (cognitive therapy) with mindfulness-based exercises (a more somatic approach). I find this mix is more holistic for clients.
