My name is Eugene Naughton, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) credentialed by the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals). I am also a member of the International OCD Foundation. I work with adults and older teens to help them resolve anxiety, mood disorders, and problematic sexual behaviors. I also work with the parents of anxious children to help them develop appropriate strategies to deal with their family member's struggle.
As a CSAT, I use the Task Model developed by Patrick Carnes to treat problematic and sex and porn addiction. For treatment of OCD, I use a combination of Exposure/Response Prevention as well as a combination of cognitive challenging and acceptance skill-building. I use a combination of CBT and acceptance skills for anxiety and depression, and I use EMDR.
