I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as the youngest of six siblings. My wife and I have shared 28 wonderful years of marriage and are proud parents of four amazing adult children. As a military spouse, I embraced the role of primary caregiver during deployments and times of separation, which taught me the value of resilience and love. Before becoming a Clinical Social Worker, I pursued a theological degree and completed two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, which shaped my understanding of compassion and care. Each step of my journey has deepened my desire to serve and connect with others.
I find joy in listening to music, exploring financial literacy, watching movies, diving into history, and studying psychology. Teaching is my passion—I truly love sharing knowledge and fostering growth in others. My time volunteering at a food pantry and working as a substitute teacher for special needs children has provided profound insights.
