Caregivers of Serious Mental Illness (SMI) Support
This is a virtual group for parents, partners, siblings, and loved ones of individuals with severe mental illness. Caring for someone with a serious condition, especially during a first episode of psychosis, a new diagnosis, or hospitalization, can feel overwhelming and isolating. This group offers emotional support, psychoeducation, and practical tools to better understand symptoms, navigate treatment systems, and manage the impact on family relationships. Topics include coping with uncertainty, handling crisis and stress, setting boundaries, and maintaining your own wellbeing. Open to both new and long-term caregivers, the group provides connection, validation, and ongoing support.
