I strive to actively listen to the concerns and needs of people seeking help for their situation. It is through the act of listening that I can learn the dynamics that each person is working through. Helping an individual overcome and work through those dynamics is what I try to do each session. This also includes helping someone create better direction for themselves by creating realistic goals within a practical timeline. I approach their situation with common sense and empathy to help guide them towards their stated goals.
In addition to private practice work I also see clients during the day at a community mental health center. My experience includes helping people with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, assisting couples, working with parents and adolescents, crisis situations, and how to manage stage of life adjustments.
It is always a pleasure for me to provide guidance and listen to those who find themselves needing counseling. I treat all of my patients with respect regardless of gender, orientation, or cultural backgrounds. My ultimate goal is to make sure everyone that I work with feels comfortable to express their concerns and have a discussion about their situation.
