About
I provide a safe, trusting environment for my clients to open up and share their experiences without feeling judged or shamed. I take a warm, client-centered approach to psychotherapy, based on the work of Carl Rogers. I believe that one of the most valuable aspect of therapy is for the therapist to have unconditional positive regard toward the client. As my client, I will think the best of you, and truly believe that you are capable of great things. I am positive, non-judgmental and compassionate, and when you enter my office it will be a safe environment for you to be vulnerable and be yourself.
I provide an approach to therapy that is grounded in science, focused on brain neurochemistry, with an understanding of how people learn, and the benefits of praise and positive reinforcement. I use an eclectic approach and believe that a therapist must be creative and skillful in determining what each person needs. I work with both adults and children.
Reaching out to a therapist can be difficult. You may already feel uncertain and vulnerable and are looking for someone to guide you. I'm here to help make it easier, whether you are seeking help as an adult, or bringing in your child. From the moment you contact me, to when you step into my office you can expect kindness and genuine compassion.

Esther H Miller's Groups
Group for Parents of Neurodivergent Teens
I lead a group (via Zoom) for parents with teens/young adults who are neuro-divergent, atypical and/or have a mental illness. The group provides emotional support and advice given in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I am a therapist, but also a parent who has (and still is!) going through these same issues. The group is safe, helpful and confidential in an environment where you can vent, commiserate, and share with other parents who are going through similar issues.
