In my 40 years as a psychologist my goal has been to provide the safe nurturing environment that creates a productive client/therapist relationship. I have never forgotten my early experiences in seeking help from a therapist, wondering what it would be like, and if it would really help. I appreciated the understanding and insight I received then, and throughout my life, sometimes with my husband, I have found different kinds of therapy that were helpful to me and to my clients.
My theoretical background is Jungian and developmental. I specialize in couples counseling, life transitions, and relationship issues of all kinds, and help those who are overwhelmed, discouraged, or in conflict solve their problems. Together we set goals,and I make suggestions or give homework as we explore the best strategy to address the issue(s).
Additional experiences and training: 15 years of psychodrama training, including group therapy and group dynamics. Certification in clinical hypnosis Teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels;for teachers and counselors, Advanced study at the C. G. Jung Center in Denver, and continuing through present. The class deals with all kinds of transitions. The focus is on where you are now, what you would like to change, and how to make changes that are effective for you. Cost is $40 per session with commitment for the 12 sessions. The class will have 6-10 participants providing support for each person's individual goals.
