Hi! I am Esther Castillo, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I take pleasure in working with individuals (s) who are seeking to overcome major obstacles to obtain contentment. My emphasis has been working with individuals and their families to overcome trauma, addiction, and mental health stigma so they can reach their full potential. I am fluent in Spanish! My therapeutic approach to providing therapy is CBT, DBT, Solution-focused therapy, Trauma-focused CBT, Trauma-informed, Family, and Couple therapy.
I prefer working with clients from a remote setting but enjoy working with all individuals regardless of race, gender, diagnosis, cultural or religious beliefs, etc. I take a client-centered approach and understand the importance of being ready for change. True change comes from within, and I pride myself in helping my clients reach their full potential.
I need to provide the client with a safe place where they can share their struggles, obstacles, and challenges that hinder them from achieving their goals. It's also important for me to challenge my clients but only in the direction they want to be headed, I use a client-centered and collaborative approach to goal-setting
