I have been working as a therapist for 5 years. I have worked with clients from the ages of 6 to young adults. I have experience working both in the clinical and school setting as well as through Telehealth. My specialties include working with clients experiencing anxiety, self-esteem issues, depression, and trauma. I like communicating with a calm demeanor and tone to make my patients comfortable. I also practice active listening to make my patients feel understood. Bringing some humor into sessions also helps patients feel comfortable and at ease.
As a therapist, I like creating an honest, open, and judgment-free zone. My approach is to get to know my clients in a comfortable matter so that they are able to open up freely. I believe that this welcoming approach is what makes my clients feel so comfortable during sessions. I like guiding my clients to the here and now to process deep emotions.
My goal is to help clients understand their feelings free of judgment. I like exploring my client’s past to see how it is affecting the present. I find it important to help bring patterned thoughts and behaviors into awareness and work together to come up with new ways of thinking and behaving that are more rational.
