My name is Essence, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked with various populations and have a diverse background including people with trauma, Borderline personality disorder, depression, anxiety, grief, parenting, relationship problems. Struggling with feeling inadequate and not good enough? Are you someone that struggles with enmeshment, boundaries, perfectionism, anxiety, depression and trauma? Our personal struggles can impact our relationships with others. I work with individuals and partners who live with Depression, relationship grief, clinical anxiety, unhealthy enmeshment, perfectionism and relationships.
I develop a positive and relational approach in therapy. I think it is important to be intentional in life. It starts with improving self-esteem and good self care. In therapy, you are in charge. We go at your speed. We will work towards your growth. Growth will be intentional during our time together. I have intense training in DBT, CBT, CPT (for trauma).

Essence of Me! ( Perfectionism Group)- In person
This is a skills/ processing Group. If your struggling with needing others validation, Procrastination due to feeling like you need to "get it right" the first time, or unhealthy expectations. This is the group for you towards letting go of perfectionism! Objective 1: work towards accepting our self and our imperfections. Objective 2: identify behaviors that reinforce perfectionism. Objective 3: identify unhealthy thinking patterns that reinforce feelings of unhappiness, feeling like a failure and needing others approval. We work towards letting go the need to be perfect. This group is limited due to COVID. We will wear mask at all time during this group.
