It is hard to see our own worth when we feel ignored or devalued by the world. The LGBTQIA+ community is particularly vulnerable to relational and spiritual trauma, leading to feelings of shame and worthlessness, and making them more susceptible to depression, anxiety, poor sense of self, etc. Over the last 5 years, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life dealing with these and a multitude of other issues as they have allowed me to be a part of their healing process.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, warm, and compassionate. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and growth. I emphasize building a strong therapeutic relationship as I believe this is the basis of a positive therapy outcome. I draw from multiple modalities, such as psychodynamic, ACT, and client-centered therapy.
Often, we walk through life without really being heard by others and pushing our emotions down, saying “I’m fine.” I hope to help you feel seen, heard, and validated as you learn to feel and validate your own emotions. It’s okay to not be okay. It can be difficult to seek help and I commend you for it! I look forward to walking alongside you in your journey!
