Let’s talk about the impact of emotional health on every aspect of your life. Unexpected or painful experiences can leave us feeling wounded, overwhelmed, isolated, struggling to make sense of these experiences and find comfort. Psychotherapy tends to emotional wounds so they can fully heal, providing time and space to express thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment that offers understanding, compassion, and hope. My approach to therapy is collaborative, a partnership between counselor and client. My goal is to help you meet the world with kindness and curiosity, to discover personal strengths that will move you forward.
I also specialize in relationship recovery work, the process of releasing attachments that are no longer serving the well-being of the individual, reflecting on relationship experiences and encouraging action to meet needs for new connection. Therapy can provide an emotional support system to improve coping skills during times of uncertainty and transition.
We can’t change what has happened but we can change the way we think about what has happened. We can’t always control the outcome of a difficult or painful situation but we can control the awareness that we bring to every interaction so we may act with greater positive intention. Improving emotional health can strengthen resilience and instill hope.
