I previously worked in Cyfair ISD for 15 years, with my last 10 years as a school counselor. I have always had a strong passion for helping children and families. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of childhood and adolescent issues: ADHD, anxiety, anger management, depression, self harm, divorce, adjustment issues, abuse and grief. I use a number of different therapy approaches based on each person's needs, but primarily CBT, DBT, & Sandtray. My main goal for therapy is to teach people coping strategies to better deal with the difficult situations in their lives and to improve their behavior and communication skills.
I find it a privilege to be able to help others become empowered and lead them down the road to healing and to help them reach their full potential. If you need help for your child/adolescent in one of these areas, please reach out and call me.
I am a strong advocate for the use of play therapy with children and art therapy for adolescents. This modality gives the child a safe way to express their emotions during the therapy session. I became an Internationally Credentialed Sandtray Therapist (ICST) in December 2021.
