I'm an authentic, warm, open human being with a deep commitment to helping people to identify and work through the aspects of life that are causing the most pain. Therapy sessions with me are collaborative, insight oriented and strengths-based, weaving in mindfulness as well as heartfelt doses of honesty. My role is to guide you: to ask about who you are, what you desire (or don't desire) and why that is, so that together, we can identify where you'd like to focus your energies and your growth.
While psychodynamic theory guides my thinking, I utilize an integrated approach which draws from various therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Clinical Hypnosis and Mindfulness. Along with your input, I will develop a unique approach that matches your situation, personality and desires/needs.
I have a strong passion for helping women to work through the many facets of motherhood. I understand how deeply intense and all consuming this life phase can be. I am committed to helping moms to rediscover themselves, release the guilt and anxiety, heal the negative self talk and to find peace amidst the chaos. Mothers need this more than ever!
