I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Supervisor with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. Previously, I worked in the non-profit community mental. I assisted in creating and developing a Transitional Youth program that specializes in working with young adults and adolescents. In addition to working with the Transitional Youth population, I have worked as an advocate for Victims of Crime (VOC). Areas of interest include working with teens and young adults. I hold licenses in (LPCC-S) Ohio, (LPCS) South Carolina, (LPC, CPCS) Georgia and Florida. I am a counselor supervisor for OH, SC and GA.
My specialty and passion is working with teens and young adults. I offer an eclectic therapeutic approach, using Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with my clients.
My primary focus is facilitating the Adolescent IOP where various therapeutic techniques are used to work with teens in a group setting. Adolescent IOP
Do you have an adolescent who struggles with depression, anxiety or self-harming? I have developed an adolescent IOP for clients between the ages of 12-17. Various therapeutic approaches are used, including DBT, CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. The adolescent IOP is an intense level of care that goes beyond individual therapy. The program meets 3 times a week for 3 hours each session. Areas of focus: Recognizing personal strengths and problem areas, Develop healthy coping skills, Identify and modify negative thoughts and beliefs, Address transitions in life, Improve the ability to problem-solve, Change destructive behavior patterns, and more!
