Erin Mullin, PhD, Psychologist in San Francisco
Something is getting in the way of living the life you want to live. You want to be professionally successful, have good relationships with friends and family, contribute meaningfully to the world and even have some fun. Instead you may be suffering a barrage of negative thoughts about yourself, sabotaging work or relationships or feeling unbearably anxious. I can provide a supportive, respectful relationship where you can face these difficult issues. I have helped many people to curb self/other destructiveness, improve relationships and have a more successful work-life while learning to be more kind to themselves and others.
In addition to adults and couples, I work with children (aged 3 and up), adolescents and parents (often in non-traditional families). I believe strongly in a collaborative relationship with parents. I specialize in helping people with the decision to become parents, infertility, transition to parenting and post-partum depression.
I am a psychoanalyst. I use a depth-oriented model in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. I have many years of experience and a lot of post-degree training in psychoanalysis and in working with children and adolescents. I create a safe, private environment that allows for the development of curiosity.
