I (she/her) am a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in relational therapy, with a focus on attachment, and human sexuality. My approach to therapy is compassionate, authentic, and humanistic. I work systemically, with an emphasis on emotions, and believe we are all doing the best we know how to do, and have the ability to change when we learn how to engage differently with ourselves and with the people in our lives. In all my work I hold the space for a person to feel vulnerable, yet supported while empowering them to look within for internal strengths as a foundation for the work.
I don’t shy away from any topic and am an ally for individuals from various cultural and social backgrounds, as well as different expressions of gender and sexuality.
I am a partner, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. I have roots in small-town Iowa and have been in the Iowa City area for over a decade. I have a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a diverse set of work and life experience. I love what I do.
