Life brings with it a variety of challenges, and there is no handbook for how to perfectly navigate each situation. I believe there is great purpose in our pain and suffering, and that we heal and grow when we begin to understand events and accept life as it comes. Counseling can help this process by providing a non-judgmental space for discussing thoughts and feelings and arriving at helpful insights and answers.
I specialize in helping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, childhood trauma, relationship issues, and family conflict. I lean heavily on person-centered therapy, family systems theory, narrative therapy, existential perspectives, and Buddhist philosophy. I am also trained in sand-tray therapy and ACT therapy.
Healing happens within healthy relationships, and my goal is to create a warm, authentic environment where you can feel comfortable and understood. I believe each person is the expert on their own life, background, and needs. My job is to listen carefully and add whatever knowledge is needed to help you achieve your goals.
