No one wants to be fired, but me! When my clients have met their goals and are embarking on successful futures, I get sacked! It is my belief that all people want satisfying lives and everyone can achieve it. Each of us has a unique definition of what is "satisfying." Relationships (marital, familial, collegial, communal), careers, and a sense of purpose seem to be some driving motivators. By addressing the obstacles (past hurts, betrayals, addictions) and enhancing these important areas (our relationships, careers, purpose), we can make the changes to create lives of fulfillment.
With over 30 years of experience, I focus on addictions (certified addictions professional), emotional regulation skills (to decrease emotional reactions and increase thoughtful responses), and family systems (to include marriage & family therapy). Trained in Brainspotting, a brain-based approach "for rapid & effective change." Always learning and applying!
As a provider & also a client of therapy, I know how uncomfortable the initial meeting can be. To help alleviate some of this stress, for each new potential client, I offer a 15-minute "meet & greet." The goal is introductions, to discuss your concerns, and ensure I have the expertise to assist you. If I do not, referral options will be provided.
