Hello! My name is Erin Janovec. I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia. My approach to therapy is a humanistic and integrated approach that considers each individual's unique needs. I am certified in EMDR and trained in TF-CBT. I have worked with clients ranging from young to old with varying diagnoses. I have experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, and more.
I tailor the treatment plans to the needs of each individual and work collaboratively to develop goals and objectives. Common therapeutic approaches that may be utilized include cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, DBT skills, person-centered, REBT, and reality-based.
Trauma-informed care is essential to my practice. I aim to have a calm and comforting tone and communication style. Many people describe me as "easy to talk to" and "feels like we are just having a conversation."
