Many symptoms of mental health challenges can be difficult to speak about. Whether it is anxiety, depression, stress, shame, or anger, your feelings are valid and worth exploring. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to create a safe and nonjudgmental space. In this space, I want to assist your exploration of connections between your emotions, thoughts, actions, and past experiences. Progress is defined by you, and I want to help you move in a significant direction. I am passionate about working with folks in the LGBTQIA+ community, including adults, teens, and couples.
While I base my approach in CBT and DBT, I focus on the most relevant elements for each client. Each person has their own journey and path towards healing. Previous work in an outpatient hospital setting has given me experience helping others find effective strategies for grounding, mindfulness and cognitive reframing.
Some areas of focus in my work include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and communication. I strive to make it a flexible environment that holds space for a client's specific needs.
