As a military spouse and mother of five, I'm very aware of the sacrifices military members and their families make. Many of these same experiences are shared by first responders and healthcare workers who face cumulative and ongoing trauma as a result of their work experiences. I specialize in providing services to military and first responders. My clients tend to do their best therapeutic work in the space between brutal honesty and genuine compassion and understanding, in person! I see you! I am passionate about what I do and believe that my passion and experience are what allow me to effectively help, helpers.
I also work with substance and behavioral addictions; some career fields are literal breeding grounds for them. If you answer the question, 'do you continue the behavior (drinking, porn, infidelity, etc) despite negative consequences' with a yes, you might benefit from talking with someone like me!
My training in EMDR, crisis intervention, mental health and addiction counseling, in addition to years of experience working with first responders, allows me to get 'It'- an invaluable piece of the puzzle as you begin your therapeutic process.
