When your child starts showing concerning emotions or behaviors at home or school, parenting can start to feel absolutely impossible. You try behavior charts, rewards, consequences, gentle parenting, tough love. You would do anything for your child but nothing seems to work and you’re getting burned out. It's overwhelming, frustrating, and you feel helpless. I want you to know that there is hope and you don’t have to go through it alone. As a compassionate counselor and play therapist, I believe that change happens from within when we begin to understand and accept ourselves and experience felt safety from those around us.
Through play, arts, sand tray, and/or talk, we'll work together to increase you and/or your child's self-awareness, self-compassion, self-confidence, and self-regulation to improve your quality of life and be your best self.
Reaching out for help is often the hardest part. I want you to know that there is no shame in not having it all figured out yet. I've been there and I get it. Let's set up a brief call to see if we are a good fit for each other. I look forward to hearing from you.
