Hello, my name is Erin Callahan. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical based out of Montgomery County, MD. I am a neurodiversity-affirming therapist who specializes in complex trauma and other life transitions including identity, grief, domestic, and other forms of trauma and marginalization. Working to serve marginalized, neurodivergent, and special victims is my specialty. I work to help people work through the trauma that may be present as an intersection to identity.
I use a holistic, compassion-focused environment to conduct therapy that is client centered. I believe that my client is the expert in their life, and I am afforded the opportunity to co-pilot along the precious journey to wellness.
Our first session is an intake session where background information is collected through biopsychosocial assessment. Clients should expect to share what brought them to therapy, information about family of origin, education, medical and mental health conditions, and current life circumstances/ relationships.
