Hi, my name is Erika Rucker, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Nurse. I have been a clinical therapist for over 10 years and use a holistic approach that heals the mind, body, and spirit. I focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, couples counseling, life transitions, women's health, adolescent and young adults who are struggling with the stresses of school and coming into their own uniqueness. I utilize an eclectic style of techniques as I believe that each person needs something special and unique in their healing process.
I use a variety of technique that include cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal family systems, mindfulness, somatic movement, breathwork, nutrition assistance for mental health disorders, and yoga.
I approach goal setting with patients in the first sessions to help establish where we are going in our sessions and time together. I have clients start with small achievable goals to help build confidence and self-esteem. We continue to create and grow goals to meet their ultimate goal to feel their best and healthiest.
