My experience as a 14-year law enforcement officer led to my understanding of the unique and often complex issues that arise from serving communities and country, including addiction and trauma. I use evidence-based practices with a unique and holistic approach to healing and understand the culture and language associated with veteran and first responder communities. Drawing upon my Native American roots, I incorporate indigenous techniques when appropriate for the client.
I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach, CBT, cognitive therapy, and offer sensory healing, a unique and gentle approach created through my personal and professional experience to heal trauma and reduce the intensity and frequency of trauma symptoms, improving overall functioning and quality of life.
