Erika holds a Master's and a Post-Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health, and Play Therapy. In addition, Erika is fully trained in several therapeutic approaches, including DBT, RO-DBT, ACT, EMDR, and PEERs Certified. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and a Registered Play Therapist in Arkansas. Erika works with children, adolescents, and adults individually or with their families on a wide range of issues. She emphasizes the use of evidence-based practices.
Erika has a specialty in Technology-Assisted Counseling, serves as a Site Intern Program Supervisor, and is a LPC and LMFT Supervisor. She has experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Erika has lived in Arkansas with her husband for the past 23 years.
Erika is also the creator of Milestone Based Therapy and Milestone Based Health Care Delivery Model, which she start developing in 2018 and she is currently seeking grants to further studies and expand these innovative models. These models focus on meeting specific milestones to track a client's/patient’s progress and ensure the most effective treatment.
