Hi, I'm Erika Marquez, founder of Island Pearl Counseling, PLLC. With over 18 years of experience dedicated to mental health, I've worked in various settings including non-profit, juvenile justice facilities, and in the private sector. I've trained professionals, officers, and community members on the intersection between mental health and the justice system to define mental health and identify mental health needs.
I provide support for parents and children while focusing on the child's mental wellness through increased self-awareness, developing coping skills, building positive relationships, and developing hope for their future.
I have a deep commitment to improve the lives of active or retired veterans as well as their families. I understand the support should be as robust as the challenges they face. My approach focuses on understanding the root causes of difficulties and fostering deeper self-awareness to provide effective support for our dedicated officers.
