About
I have been working in the mental health field since 2014 shadowing and preparing to become a therapist. I started my work as a therapist intern at a psychiatric facility, graduated, and went on to become a child therapist. During that time I worked with families and their children, dealing with all types of issues from divorce to childhood traumas. I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in crisis coming from acute and psychiatric settings. As a past I worked as a therapist on teenage girl units, and the autism unit as well as younger children and older boys.
I was afforded the opportunity to assess children and adolescents in times of crisis and process unexpected life challenges. I worked with a team of qualified individual's severe and persistent mental illnesses through clinical assessments, risk assessments, intake assessments, and client evaluations.
The main form of treatment modalities I like to utilize is cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy, I also utilize mindfulness, solution-focused and client-centered tactics. We will discuss strengthening communication and working as a team in therapy.
