I help suffering people permanently resolve long-standing emotional wounds and the shame, guilt, depression, and anxiety that ensue. This only happens in one place; "here and now." Thus, we focus on what is happening in your immediate experience of life. This leads directly to the emotional wound where we can heal it. As emotional pain exists outside of time, so does the cure. We locate the unconscious, emotional truth quickly and begin actively dismantling emotionally-learned beliefs & self-perceptions. It does mean active participation in intensive, brief therapy. This approach works for couples and families as well.
My practice is purpose driven. While I'm OK meeting with patients for an extended time ONLY if necessary, I prefer to help clients obtain the emotionally corrective experience needed to be liberated from suffering and my job is done. I don't want to spend years of your time/money in therapy just spinning wheels. Your life isn't waiting for you get better.
