As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive atmosphere for anyone seeking to make a change in their life. I work with individuals and families with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, divorce, parenting difficulties, ADHD, grief/loss issues and anger-management problems.
Therapy is approached from a systemic model of family therapy. I also utilize techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral and Solution-Focused theories. I attempt to use complimentary techniques to partner with my clients and unearth long-standing behavioral/relational patterns or negative thoughts that keep them from a more fulfilling life.
My background as a therapist on a child and adolescent inpatient hospital unit for 4 years has helped me gain the knowledge in helping families specifically make successful improvements in their lives after a crisis. I have been in private practice for 14 years and enjoy helping people manage their anxiety and depression symptoms.
