Psychology is my second career (after working as an author and book editor for several years), and so I am familiar with what it's like to consider major life transitions. I can help if you are feeling stuck or pondering a change in your life. Because I am a writer, I believe in the power of narrative and often incorporate this into therapy, including expressive writing and other creative approaches. I will help you look at your life as your own story and figure out how you can write the next chapter.

I primarily work with adults as well as adolescents. I will work collaboratively with you to figure out a path toward clarity, relief, and empowerment. My theoretical approach is integrative, meaning that I draw from various approaches to tailor the best plan to each individual I work with.
I treat grief, loss, adjustment and transition issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, and gender and sexual identity concerns, among other issues. I've received training in self-compassion as well as ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). I look forward to meeting you and hearing more about what you are looking for!
