About
Starting therapy, or re-starting therapy, can feel like a daunting endeavor. I look forward to helping individuals, both teens and adults, who might be struggling with what it means to be in therapy or understanding how therapy might be able to help them. I practice primarily from a psychodynamic and relational perspective. This means that I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the necessary foundation for effective and meaningful therapeutic work. Every therapist-patient relationship is unique and I work hard to provide a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment.
I have expertise working with individuals who want to better understand and manage issues related to disordered eating and low body-esteem, interpersonal difficulties (including family conflicts and romantic or peer relationships), or managing challenging life transitions.
I also specialize in working with healthcare professionals who are seeking help managing the unique stressors related to their jobs. I am the on-staff psychologist for resident physicians at Maimonides Medical Center where I offer individual counselling and group trainings related to burnout, provider wellness, and professional identity.
