We will all experience times when life's challenges seem overwhelming and, on occasion, we may need someone other than family or friends to talk to. As a psychotherapist, I enjoy providing a supportive, nonjudgmental space in which I can help my clients understand and manage their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This can lead to improved mood, reduced anxiety, better relationship patterns, and enhanced coping mechanisms. Though there is often a stigma attached to seeking therapy, our mental health is actually an integral part of our overall health and wellness, and I believe it should be treated with the same importance.
From our first meeting, we will begin to develop our therapeutic relationship in an environment that is safe and accepting. With a client-centered approach that emphasizes self-understanding, self-acceptance, and personal responsibility, we will explore the past while focusing on how current experiences and feelings impact the present and the future.
