Each person has a story. Every story is valuable. Some stories are told in public with pride and fanfare, and others are held in private and sometimes never told, even as they affect what makes you who you are, or who you want to become. Sometimes difficulties, trauma, or setbacks that you have experienced in life have taught you to see the world or react to the world in a certain way. I believe that it’s possible to reframe that thinking over time and become a person that is truly healthy and happy. I love to see where people are in their stories and help them set goals to get to where they they want to be; become their best self.
I have extensive experience in the human service field that had allowed me to become well acquainted with a myriad of struggles and difficulties that all people from every walk of life may go through. I also belong to associations that help me to gain perspective and stay up to date on strategies and techniques that may help those I work with.
I believe in building a relationship of trust, where all people are comfortable exploring the story that is being told in their minds. I work with therapies of CBT, DBT, Person-Centered Therapy, and others that enhance and empower individuals to discover strengths and peace within themselves and have the courage to make changes where they see a need.
