Some of my clients struggle to love well; others struggle with difficult emotions. But all of my clients juggle the sometimes contradictory demands of love, sex and vulnerability. All people want to feel safe and loved, but some are overwhelmed by the intensity of close connection. They want to feel known, but they are also allergic to intimacy. They want to feel attached, but they are also deeply distrustful of others. I also enjoy helping these clients in couples therapy to navigate the intersections of intimacy, vulnerability and sexuality. I work with a multicultural perspective, celebrating diversity of all kinds.
I am a psychoanalytically oriented therapist and doctoral student at the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis. I have years of experience working with people suffering from anger, shame, feelings of hatred, guilt and fear. I specialize in men's issues, complex trauma, family therapy, personality disorders and schizophrenia.
I enjoy working with clients struggling with intense feelings to create a working alliance that helps misunderstood people live more freely and openly. I look forward to assisting your journey and deepening our connection over time! I respond to all inquiries and offer a free, 15-minute, phone consultation to ensure we will be a good fit.
