It is not that things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult -Seneca. If you have the desire to change your life for the better, then I would like to work with you to achieve it. The journey to recovery is not easy, but easier with help. I hope to build trust and resilience in the people I work with so that they can reach their full potential in life. No matter where you are at the moment, with persistence, commitment and patience, anything is possible.
I use a combination of peer support, case management, motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavior therapy in my approach. I work with individuals who struggle with intense emotions, out-of-control behaviors, OCD, addiction, trauma, abuse, and suicidal/self-harm behaviors. My approach is client-focused, strength-based, and solution-orientated.
As a therapist with first-hand experience coping with mental illness, I have developed key strategies to attaining whole health and wellness. If you have been feeling like there is no way out, or that life is just too much, I have been there. No one should have to tackle life on their own, and no one should feel alone. I'm here to help.
