Life is full of many challenges and if you don’t have the skills to effectively navigate them, life can be very painful. I am a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician with 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I work from a collaborative framework in working with you to build the skills found in DBT which include Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness. I have received years of training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and also completed Advance Training in the DBT Prolong Exposure Protocol for PTSD. I have provided over 16 years of clinical supervision.
DBT was developed at the University of Washington by Marsha Linehan to treat chronically suicidal individuals diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Research has demonstrated that DBT is effective in treating a wide range of other disorders including depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, eating disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder.
