I work best with people whose struggles do not fit neatly into one box: bright but overwhelmed teens, adults with ADHD or anxiety, people carrying trauma, professionals under pressure, and clients seeking diagnostic clarity. Many come to me after feeling misunderstood, mislabeled, or stuck despite real effort. I help people slow the picture down, understand the patterns beneath the symptoms, and build a practical path forward.
I specialize in therapy and psychological assessment for complex or unclear concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, trauma, depression, autism questions, relationship patterns, and professional readiness. My approach is direct, collaborative, and practical. I help clients move beyond labels, understand what drives distress, and build real-life strategies.

Kintsugi: the art of precious scars

Kintsugi or kintsukuroi is a Japanese art form in which breaks and repairs are treated as part of the object's history. Broken ceramics are carefully mended by artisans with a lacquer resin mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum. The repairs are visible - yet somehow beautiful. Kintsugi means "golden joinery" in Japanese. Beginning late fall, 2019, Loudoun Psychological will be offering a course in kintsugi. The premise of this group is to learn about this ancient art form while applying the principles of repair to the strength we develop as we experience life.
