I believe there are many ways to achieve well-being and recovery. Presence, patience, compassion, acceptance, and curiosity are some of the qualities I possess. I believe competent therapy is a co-creation between the client and therapist and pride myself in embodying everything I expect of my clients. I'm passionate about stewarding people to create greater acceptance, balance, inner attunement and well-being in their lives. I specialize in all addictions (substance use disorders, behavioral addictions such as chronically problematic sexual behaviors, men's eating disorders, porn, internet gaming) and/or co-occurring disorders.

I utilize a variety of therapies that may include Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Truama Sensitive Mindfulness, and Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention, "Mindsight," Interpersonal Neurobiology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, Seeking Safety, and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Graduate of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute's Level II training, a cutting-edge somatically based modality for treating trauma. EMDR level II trained and working toward EMDRIA certification. Certified to deliver TF/CBT with children and Adolescents. Active member of Mankind Project since 2008. Practicing mindfulness meditation since 1997.

Eric Belsterling's Groups

Courage to Change Men's group

Men's group focusing on "Chronically Problematic Sexual Behaviors" (i.e. compulsive porn, compulsive sex, compulsive use of dating apps, etc.). This group meets for 12 weeks and will be closed to 12 men. We utilize the workbook, "Sex Addiction 101" by Robert Weiss, the empirically validated "30 Task Model" developed by Dr. Patrick Carnes and various exercises from the book "Erotic Intelligence," and workbook "Sexual Reflections, A Workbook for Designing and Celebrating Your Healthy Sex Plan," by Dr. Alex Katehakis. Each man needs to be in individual therapy.
