Licensed Psychoanalyst, PhD, PsyD
My practice is exclusively "distance therapy," online or over the phone. I only work with adults, 25 and up, and residents of California. My approach is very focused on what is best for the person receiving care. Distance therapy is best for people who are not dealing with severe issues like debilitating anxiety, depression, or trauma. My approach always focuses on empathy and creating lasting change. As a psychoanalyst, I work in an in-depth way that tries to take seriously what is happening outside of awareness. I provide online therapy (min. 1x/wk) and psychoanalysis, long-term work at multiple times per week.
The people I work with range from those suffering from difficult (but not debilitating) anxiety, depression, and trauma to those who come in simply for relationship issues or greater self-understanding. I especially have experience working with people who have difficulty maintaining lasting and good love relationships, both heterosexual and homosexual.
I am a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles, a faculty member at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis, and a former member of the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center. I have taught psychoanalysis at ICP, the Newport Psychoanalytic Institute, and Seattle's Center for Object Relations.
