My practice is rooted in presence, care, and the belief that healing happens when we are fully seen—especially in the places we’ve had to hide to survive. As Black queer therapist with lived experience navigating religious abuse, racial violence, trauma, addiction, and grief, I bring a rare depth of compassion to my work. Many of my clients are people who may be struggling with emotional intensity, trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, or grief. My therapeutic approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic mindfulness, and psychodynamic.
I hold a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens shaped by my personal and professional experience with complex PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, and early childhood abuse. I work relationally, with an attention to attachment, emotional regulation, strengths, and perseverance.
If you’re looking for a deeply caring and non-judgmental therapist who understands what it’s like to feel all the things all at once—grief, anger, longing, shame—and has made space for it. Who knows the ache of being between identities, between homes, between who you are and who you were told to be. You've come to the right place.
