I am a licensed clinical social worker with a background in the U.S., Japan and Europe. I provide psychotherapy for adults who experience relationship issues, difficulty coping after a stressful event and life transitions. I draw from relational, insight-oriented, cognitive and trauma-focused approaches and am committed to creating a safe, supportive and collaborative environment.
I am able to provide psychotherapy in English, Japanese and German and am versed in working with individuals adjusting to cultural norms in the US, challenges unique to interracial and intercultural couples and issues related to step/blended families.
In addition, I have particular expertise in working with people who have experienced interpersonal violence such as abuse in childhood, intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
